Eritrean citizens residing in London UK reiterate
commitment to enhance participation in national programs.

At a seminar they conducted on Sunday 07-December 2008 at Acton Town Hall in London on the objective situation in the Homeland and the contribution of nationals at home and abroad, Eritrean citizens residing in United Kingdom reiterated commitment to enhance their participation in national programs.

The Eritrean Ambassador to United Kingdom & Ireland, H.E. Tesfamicael Gerahtu, indicated that major reconstruction programs are being effectively implemented, especially the ongoing efforts to achieve food security. Outlining the tasks being undertaken to ensure social justice and the progress being made, the Ambassador called on Eritrean citizens in the United Kingdom to enhance their contribution in all-round development endeavors through reinforcing national unity.

After a brief introduction, Head of the Consular affairs in the Eritrean Embassy Mr.Saleh Abdella, gave general background information about consular services. Meanwhile, Ambassador Tesfamicael Gerahtu and the Head of Public affairs in the Embassy, Mrs Haregu Tesfamariam, conducted similar seminars to Eritrean nationals living in a number of United Kingdom cities, including Birmingham and Leeds.
